Derouging

Rouge (iron oxide) deposits commonly develop in high-purity water systems such as WFI (Water for Injection) and PW (Purified Water) loops, posing risks to surface integrity and product safety. AEKS offers specialized derouging services that remove these deposits without damaging the underlying stainless steel or electropolished surfaces.

Using validated chemical formulations, our derouging procedure is carefully controlled to preserve Ra values and surface passivity. We tailor the method based on rouge classification (red, black, or brown) and system type, ensuring compatibility with critical cleanroom and GMP environments.

Each derouging job is followed by detailed reporting, including treatment parameters, surface condition before/after, and GDP-aligned documentation supporting system requalification or audit trails.
